Yep. Atheism+ was one of the early high profile cases of this being done to an internet community. (There were plenty you hadn't heard about, unless you were there.) The first time it didn't go off without a hitch was video games. Pic related.

Contrarian opinions don't have any more implicit meaning simply by their nature of being contrarian.

If this whole situation was just people going apeshit over a flag and an admin banning them because they're a tranny then it wouldn't be news here. That shit happens literally every day. The only reason it's a topic is because of the Clitty Commander's massive overreaction to slight disagreements over a video game wiki and subsequent ego-tripping and spiraling.
