I know it's a different ethnic group, but from the same era, the federal government resettled a lot of South Vietnamese in coastal Texas where they could work as fishermen in the Gulf Coast shrimp industry, which was a success and seems like a much better effort at attempting to settle refugees in a climate and economic niche that better suited their existing skills and temperament.

There are a lot of Vietnamese fishermen all across the Gulf of America, and they do very well at it. Half of the crewmen in Bucktown, New Orleans are Viets.

First was a dude going "Muh Cheddar Man" about the hungarians of all people in a post about Hungary filling their migrant quota by accepting Ukranians instead of infinite browns, with the dude saying "err, Hungarians shouldnt be racist because they werent white 10000 years ago", even after I said that the magyars came on the 9th century on the other side of the continent.

The other was a dude happy for the fire of the Brazilian Museum in 2019, which destroyed countless artifacts including the oldest skull found on south america. He was saying, and im not joking "its better for all these african and indigenous artifacts to burn than be in a white owned museum"

For 6 years I was getting my groceries from that same Walmart, in the latter half I would always be stuck in line behind a 300 lb negress who would always pull out an EBT card to pay for a cart full of junk food. Upon leaving I would have to show my receipt even when all I had was food.
