That 6.5x25mm fires an FMJ round that includes a tungsten sabot that can potentially punch through 9mm of armor plate. Because I guess Sweden looked at 5.7 and 4.6 and through they needed a PDW with even more penetration.

Considering Glen Cook is a majority of what GRRM was ripping off, it’s incredibly likely. The real question is if Jim Butcher, another (better) author directly ripping of Cook, will finish his decades-long fantasy series before Cook.
 
Teachers are trying to avoid the repetitive drills necessary to learn these skills, because they aren't 'fun.'
While I have no background in any education or early childhood education theory I do have, when condensed, probably 3-4 years of full time teaching/tutoring experience with mathematics. Though with a split of 85% college and adult students and only 15% primary school students.

Must have missed the part where fun was on Bloom's taxonomy. Everything I have seen from common core math is as if they want kids to sprint before learning to roll over. Attempting to introduce the concept of symbolic math before completing addition. In all my year of learning and teaching the best method has always been fundamentals. Don't worry about the exceptions and corner cases until after they have mastered the basics (this works in every area not just mathematics). First get them to understand how to do arithmetic, then worry about theory like the following.

Number lines and asinine matrices only complicate an already tough learning curve. Like learning a language math is compounding there is no skipping a step. Once behind it becomes an uphill battle.
Start with 2+2=4 and 3+1=4 then work up to 1+1+1+1=1+1+2=1+3=2+2=3+1=2+1+1=4 or 2+2=4 and 2=4-2. Once they understand multiple methods to get to the same place then they are ready to be shown how those methods become a set of proofs. This entire process takes four to six years in the modern US school system to work from rote memorization of arithmetic to being introduced to proofs as a concrete method of dictating why something is correct for algebra or geometry. Common core really messes with this process by attempting to do everything all at once. Making it difficult for a teacher to understand if it is the odd abstraction or the fundamental concept where a student my be struggling. The biggest takeaway is learning how to verify an answer independently rather than a force method is the key to mathematics. Common core ruins this by penalizing anyone who attempts to solve a problem without using their round about method.
