On the other hand, do I care about L.A. destroying itself?
This is how I felt with palisades fire. On one hand, I DO feel bad because some decent people might still live there, but I also think LA especially, accelerationism is an appealing idea. Especially since it seems like so much of it is teetering.
Its like a drunk abusive family member teetering on a cliff, part of you WANTS to help, and another considers pushing them off.
. I think qualified immunity is a problem
The problem is chaos is chaotic, and police DEAL with chaos. If you truly remove qualified immunity this gives immense advantage to criminals. It's why blm niggers loved the hands up don't shoot slogan as the idea was basically playing red light green light with force, menacing you with a knife? Green light!!! Hands up? Red light!!! Stabbing you? Green light!!! Wait, you are dead now. With the absolute worst you need leniency for force, like that's the essence why the dad who shot his sons rapist got community service instead of 10 years for BLATANT murder in front of cops. It wasn't killing someone over theft, or fucking his wife, the guy he shot RAPED HIS CHILD, and so it's much different.
Same for organized criminals. Don't forget el Salvador (?) mass incarcerated people with 0 chill, basically breaking down peoples doors, no due process, shotgun in the face, stripped them naked and basically shoved them into a convict warehouse, and their country was so improved after, it was night and day. We need to give ice that kinda power, fuck regulation, rights, process, if they are ILLEGAL, DEPORT THEM. I couldn't give a fuck what level of force or tactics are used to accomplish this. As long as results are had.
