Hear me out, it's a bit autistic, a 'melting pot' is sold to people as a thing that you can dump anything into and it all becomes one. This isn't true for any analogous 'melting pot' like a soup pot, or a fondue pot or a crucible. If you want to make soup, fondue or good alloys then you need to know what you want first and then follow a recipe and stick to specific ingredients to get the desired outcome. If you don't know what you're making and throw everything into your 'melting pot' then all you'll make is something maybe usable but more than likely it's just going to be shit.
