The original quote somehow got eaten, but someone earlier in the thread asked why the current batch of immigrants don't assimilate.
Those in charge give neither reason nor incentive for them to do so. In the past, there were places and settlement houses, if I recall, that gave incoming immigrants crash courses on the English language, American culture, and job training among other things to get them to be productive members of society as quickly as possible.
Today, the immigrants don't make any attempt to adapt to the American lifestyle because the liberals and/or their NGOs assure them it's not necessary and often believe that doing so somehow counts as ... *checks notes* ... cultural erasure of some sort. There's nothing inherently wrong with being proud of one's background or heritage. However, one wishing to live in another company needs to be familiar with local rules and customs to ensure a smooth transition.
Protestors waving Mexican flags and speaking Spanish in an effort to keep people in the US is definitely bad optics - but those involved neither see nor care about it.

These organized protests are definitely cult-like in nature, so maybe there's some merit to that.

Sadly, it looks at if the Soros Spigot
and other Agitator Assets
are being poured into this protest already. Whether it's enough to offset the USAID money remains to be seen, but this "organic" protests has certainly become more organized and militant rather quickly. How long it lasts, though, will be more telling.
