He wants to be made into a martyr so bad it hurts. He knows it will give him a massive publicity boost so that he can use for a 2028 presidential run. Trump just needs to sit on his hands and let Newsom do nothing and twist in the wind while LA descends into chaos. After a week Trump can publicly issue an ultimatum to Newsom to either clean it up himself or that he'll intervene. Either way Newsom loses either because he does nothing and Trump fixes the problem or because he waited so long to do something when he could have acted sooner.

Not that it really matters. Every other Democrat hopeful is going to shit all over Newsom during the primary. He's practically the poster boy for the party's failures over the last decade. The best chance he has is the field being too split with no strong candidate and him being enough of a party insider that the machine will force everyone into line behind him, but he'll still lose nationally. California has become too much of a mess under his leadership for independent voters to trust him.

Those pumps are most likely already shut off. Some protesters were trying to light up the pumps amd Rittenhouse tried to stop them, but nobody knew the pumps were off and were not at risk of igniting.

or we can just enforce the laws and stop pretending whats good or bad optics according to some irrelevant blue hairs and beaners matters one iota? and we can simply refuse to let our cities burn to the ground while being told its either our fault or a good thing for not submitting to the foreign rapes? maybe we can do that and trust the voter to not want decapitated by the cartel just because newsom cries a bit in the prison cell he earned for breaking the law, and we can stop playing into weakness by trying to chess maneuver our way through an optics war we already won and actually just do the things we want to and need to do.

edit i dont think this is a trump failure per se but i think we really could just have all these fuckers shot and be done with it and arrest the hacks responsible like newsom and tell off the kikess in mexico and most americans would cheer. i think this idea were on the backfoot of optics is making trump unnecessarily cautious when we could use a bit more boldness

Newsom wants to be President so fucking bad he'd literally sell his family to Hell and suck all kinds of cock for two terms.

He's probably the 2028 front runner too.... He'll do everything in his power to look good until then.
