She has multiple comorbidities that cause accelerated cognitive decline. Uncontrolled type 2 diabetes, chronic renal disease, smoking, and estrogen deficiency from her hysterectomy ALL contribute significantly to cognitive decline and dementia. We are obviously seeing that happen in real time.

She also has no intellectual pursuits that could help keep her sharp. Things like reading, crossword puzzles, making art or crafts, and even simple card games help reduce dementia risk. She does none of this. She does, as far as I can tell, nothing. So it's not a surprise that we are seeing her remaining faculties disintegrate by the day.

She's also at a considerably lower weight in that video and still recognizable as a human being - she doesn't have her filters set on "Homer Simpson's prostitute makeup shotgun." You can tell she is more mobile as well, even though she is sitting down. Between all that and the cognitive decline I shudder to think what she'll be like this time next year.

It's partially that she's almost slways eating, which takes up more time than her words. I think the food hit makes her forget to finish sentences. At best there's a "you know what I mean".

I agree she has had some cognitive decline, maybe partially due to her health and partially that she has no curiosity about the outside world, but she's still the most "articulate" when she's in rage mode, which is her natural state. She threw some real zingers at Alaa's wife without missing a beat.

When she's in Thanksh Babe mode, or trying to converse with her Beezers, she just plain has nothing to say. It is very very unlikely that any actual physical sanctuary with any number of animals is "pocketing" any money. They seem to have a physical location and a large number of cats, so that alone makes me doubt they are making money. The costs even for an independently wealthy individual for running such an organization are astronomical.

I'm not a westerner. In my experience living in multiple non western countries, even most horrific sanctuaries where animals are dying en masse are not making money from their operations. They are almost always just very poorly run by well-meaning individuals. There are exceptions, like in Asia where luxury animals like tigers or other "expensive" endangered species are involved, but not usually with farmed animals or dogs and cats.

Aren't those mostly government-funded shelters though? Government-funded places are usually legally required to take in any animal brought to them which is why they have to have a euthanasia policy. Privately-funded places take in as many as they think they can afford usually, and normally are unwilling to take in more animals unless a large donation is made. Ill admit that it's slightly suspicious that this place was willing to take in this cat that Gunt found, given that in that part of the world there are millions and millions of stray cats of all ages suffering horrifically and they should already be at maximum capacity, but maybe they anticipated an uptick in donations and visibility for doing so.

Overall I would assume that the place is probably run very badly and is a shit show financially, but that is the same for most shelters and sanctuaries even in the united States. It is extremely difficult and rare for a sanctuary to be run well. Despite that, I'd assume that the place is run by well-meaning compassionate and broke people who intend to reduce the pain and suffering they see around them.

Also, most of their donations probably come from locals. It is the same in every country where the org is run by locals and other locals are not extremely poor. Their instagram is in Arabic, and they have only like 60k followers.

How much money do you think they are bringing in? Sanctuaries with many more followers than that, and located in countries with followers with more expendable incomes hardly manage to pay their bills.

This woman found an outlet for her energy that is not the norm for Kuwaiti society. Most woman in her position are expected to be stay at home baby factories and she didn’t want that shit (can’t blame her.)

My only reference is My 600 lb Life, but super-morbidly obese people tend to come from morbidly obese families.
