I've always hated the Howard character. I didn't think he deserved a wife and kids. He was the first in that group to "mature" (i.e. get married and have kids) but was far from mature. He is a baby and not remotely masculine. He never protected his family and was the type to throw them under the bus. I think it's shameful when people can't stand up for themselves amd expect others to fight their battles.
