There isn't a single federalist line trump has crossed that hasn't been de-facto crossed by the other side, the only difference is he's now doing it in a way that could be considered in favor of the American people.
The flip flopping he does on things like tariffs, putin, etc. only feels chaotic and hypocritical because it's the first time in decades anybody has actually tried to do anything. We've been in the safe stable mindset of "predictably let the cock of unchecked globalism slide into our ass" for the past 30 years.
