I think something neither of you understand is the culture here, which is surprising considering one of you has an account a few years older than i've even been lurking. There isn't a single federalist line trump has crossed that hasn't been de-facto crossed by the other side, the only difference is he's now doing it in a way that could be considered in favor of the American people.
The flip flopping he does on things like tariffs, putin, etc. only feels chaotic and hypocritical because it's the first time in decades anybody has actually tried to do anything. We've been in the safe stable mindset of "predictably let the cock of unchecked globalism slide into our ass" for the past 30 years. Thrashing around and getting it out is going to feel autistic because that's how paradigm shifts work.
Shit like this happens all the time when leaders are actually trying to get things done. Read about the decision making during the cold war. It was hectic with a lot of back and fourth and dick wagging on all sides. This is what actual politics looks like we just haven't had to deal with it before because the entire western world has used the productivity and stability of white citizens to play babysitter for the entire world while we get nothing in return other than cultural enrichment.
I think there are thousands of people more qualified to do this than trump, I don't think trump was close to the best man for the job, but he was the only one that fucking applied. Yes I'm going to cheer for him. Getting it done sloppily is better than not getting it done.

The reason most people get defensive here when trump is criticized is because it almost always comes with a reddit tier follow-up of "and therefore we should give up!! he's no better than a leftist! At least joe biden was able to blah blah blah" which just stinks of subversion.
You aren't wrong that people here can come across as overly celebratory of the guy but keep in mind you often come across as a demoralization shill. On a site meant for laughter and joy the latter is more obnoxious.
