Seth has always been a bit of an oddball and insane. Lmao. When he was writing about the socialist revolution in Rojava, he got himself smuggled by Iraqi police. By the way deluzeon, I had already posted about his cabin making escapades. You may have missed it.

I think it's so brutally pushed because a lot of guys do get hurt and instructors and others just hate to see patterns repeat. it made a bit more sense back in the day, but now with mixed sex service the idea that the guy enlisting isn't going to cheat on his girlfriend too is quite optimistic. The idea that "she's totally sleeping around bro" just feeds into cheating on their end. Hurts everyone involved. It's not exclusive to the military. You proposed to your girlfriend? Get ready for every guy you know to go out of their way to tell you you're making a huge mistake, going to be miserable like them, divorce talk, etc. After getting back from your honeymoon prepare for even more.

Dawg, the reason it's in songs and the reason Jody exists as a metaphysical entity is because military marriages have a 1/4 chance to result in cheating vs a ~1/40 chance for normal people.
Black humor about dying, killing, and your wife getting railed by the mailman as you sit in your bunk jacking off are ways to cope with the shittiness of the situation. You might as well ask soldiers not to make jokes about getting blown up by friendly fire or whatever.

Yesh, they don't care. Young men joining the military are young men, and often the type who were bullies. It's the same with many cops. The more you spend time with those types of guys you know what I'm talking about. They never change. They exist solely to take their own issues and insecurities out on others, and see if those people crack. pure boredom causes this more often. like I said it's not exclusive to the military anymore. Work night shift? You'll basically get told the same exact shit as a grunt. That she's sleeping with someone else etc.
I completely forgot one thing. You need to be very sure of who you're marrying as a serviceman. The consequences of divorce are different for them. I know women who as long as they never remarry will benefit highly from their ex husbands service. Hence more fuel on the fire of shitting on guys so hard, they simply don't want you doing it until you're out.

Which, probably just related to my hatred of the SNCO Corps and how fucking two-faced they are about everything. This is just another log on the fire of my grievances with them. Retards love yelling about how great they are and being Leaders of Marines™; while they make your life a living hell and fellate themselves over the great job they're doing, but why are there so many fucking secrets and trust, you know what that means, more beatings. Getting deployed, need you on your best, mentally, physically, and spiritually... now we start every PT session with "Scotty Doesn't Know" to remind you your woman is fucking around on you. Now that we're back, don't go drunk driving and don't beat your wife or kids, be responsible.

@Kheapathic is absolutely right in my opinion. The whole Jody thing, done inside by the military, is not okay and you can only go with "it's just dark humor to cope" so far.
Military service, thus the name, is a service, and therefore a sacrifice. You make a sacrifice of your health, personal life and maybe your actual life FOR SOMETHING. Something tangible to the point where you feel the sacrifice is worth it.
The issue is that Military and the US system has been extremely good at distancing the war from the consequences of it to the general public.
If you didn't actively searched for it or were not involved, you'd have a very limited idea of the last 10 to 15 years of forever war in the Middle East. So naturally, the average person in the US won't know what you are fighting for, therefore won't care and when you come back from deployment they don't "get you" since nothing really changed for them. More than a service, the military is really perceived as a mercenary job (A way to get a wage, a GI Bill, BHA, combat pay, etc.) when you pipe down all the "thank you for your service" shit.
It's the illusion that war has no consequences which has been maintained on purpose, that causes these things to get worse for people in the military. Now look at theINCOMING, INEVITABLE AND VERY RIGHTEOUS WAR™ Future Asia-Pacific contingency scenario in the Taiwanese straits.
Why is this war being propped up all of a sudden for? Not for the average American.
It's just a way to keep China away from the NVIDIA H100 and Blackwell GPU's that are made in Taiwan, so that Big Tech can maintain global technological dominance. Soldiers, Marines and Sailors will be on the two-way range against the PLA, thousands of miles away from home and getting a pittance of the profits that Sam Altman, Sundar Pichai, Peter Thiel and other Big Tech CEOs are making from their new Data Centers that China is artificially not allowed to have. (At the cost of American lives)
So to get back to my point. After more than 20 years of Forever wars in the Middle East and now an upcoming war to fight in the name of Big Tech, why would the average American believe that what a military member does is a valuable sacrifice, when the American society at large does not benefit from those military actions?
Doubly so for places like JSOC where the public is not even allowed to know what they are doing. How are those soldiers going to make sense of the great actual personal sacrifice they did? They won't. They will do coke laced with fent and die. Or xanax laced with fent and die. Or drink themselves to death. Or shoot themselves.
Look how it worked out for the Delta Force commander (part of JSOC, for the new readers) who actually planned to kill the leader of ISIS. He OD'd on his truck and Jody is raising his kids and was actually fucking his wife while he was on the job killing the leader of ISIS.
So as long as America keeps fighting secret and forever wars, that are not in the interest of the average American, while the Government is actively hiding the consequences of those wars from the American public, of course things like Jody's, substance abuse and suicides are going to happen to service members since the disconnect is too great. And purposefully so.
The real reason I make fun of that situation, is that if you joined Delta Force, you are a sucker and you chose to buy into the system and be the tip of the spear. Eric Ewoldsen would be much better, and very likely alive now having done anything else at all than join America's black ops killer team. I'd never make fun of a regular Joe in uniform that his wife cheated on. That's just sad.
It's just the normal part of the buck breaking. People who are angry at life, depressed, and filled with despair are less afraid of death and make better expandable soldiers. The attitude of those SNCO is not an aberration. They are doing their jobs correctly. Which is not to say it's okay, or moral behavior.

And food for thought. 3rd OSG is within the boundaries of CAG, but apparently is a different unit. There's a discussion on whatever they're the guys who stay in the fence, but run the compound on admin/support duties or G Squadron was put in a separate entity. Whatever it is, most recent documents regarding to records and recruiting still use Combat Applications Group (CAG) as reference to Delta.
