you need the fruits and nuts to sustain the livestock across the country
Most livestock is fed from grazing or grain grown in the breadbasket.
mfer what about pigs, chickens, ducks, rabbits shit like that. Obviously im not saying feed cows strawberrys but pecans and peanuts are very real livestock food
Pigs have a digestive tract similar to humans and will eat goddamn anything.
Chickens will eat a variety of grains, barley, oats, wheat, soy meal, canola meal, maize, peas, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, millet, etc. If allowed to be free range, lots of bugs. A chicken makes for fantastic insect control in a garden.
In the wild, Ducks and geese feed on plants, and the occasional insect, worm or aquatic mollusk. In captivity as livestock, they are commonly feed a grain mix similar to chickens.
Rabbits are much less common as livestock for human food, but are typically fed something based on alfalfa meal and grain blend.
Have you ever actually seen any of the animals above in person, as opposed to pictures on your phone?
