Sometimes I think about what happens when California gets so inhospitable that these DL Thugs and Fruity Latinx scatter like roaches, but then I remember that it's surrounded by more desert than a Nissan Altima with no paint on the top can traverse and deserted northern woodlands, which both demographics are terrified of.
Mexico is mostly desert. Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Panama, and Venezuela are equatorial, so wetter, but still hot af. These people are not afraid of the desert, they eat fucking cactus and make liquor out of it and call it good.
The people south of Panama all came through the Darien Gap. There's no way through without the cartel's permission and direct influence and interference. Everyone who came through the Darien Gap was essentially trafficked for at least that portion of their journey.

These people are not pussies. They're used to hardship. They can eat things that would make a billy goat puke. A lot of them still owe the cartels and are working off their debt here in the US, and will face the most gruesome and dangerous work conditions to avoid facing the cartel. Our Dem friends are more than happy to provide them with substandard jobs and dangerous work conditions for pennies on the dollar, compared to the minimum wages and safer conditions that Americans expect (even Mexican Americans). And these people will fight tooth and nail to keep from being sent back, because the cartel will KILL them if they come home broke. That's why they're not flocking to take the $1,000 and the free plane ticket; it's not enough money to pay off the cartel debt.
These people may be lazy and greedy when given the chance, but don't make the mistake of thinking they're weak. They're sharks swimming through a soft American ocean of wealth. Even the "nice" ones have seen and done things that would give most of us nightmares. The gang and cartel members would skin you with a machete as soon as look at you. They sell their own children to the cartel, shrug their shoulders, and go back to fucking to make some more. And THOSE are the people that Karen Bass, Gavin Newsom, Claudia Sheinbaum, and the Dems are protecting, running interference against ICE. Never trust a South American.
