That particular genie's been out of the bottle since Kent State. And the Dems have already shredded judicial norms over Jan 6th and by trying to jail their political opposition. Taking the high road to 'keep the genie in the bottle' when the other side rips the stopper out without even thinking about it as soon as they have power every single time is beyond pointless - it's just losing on purpose.

Once the opposition fails to follow the rules of a polite political order with reckless abandon, the only acceptable response is to crush them by any means necessary and then restore order. Anything less is just capitulation to lawlessness.
