Nick is a gay IVF baby. Progressivism is literally bound to his personhood. He can never escape this fact, and even though he's joked about it on his show, it obviously bothers him a lot that his existence fundamentally conflicts with his beliefs. He also unironically likes a lot of black culture and dislikes redneck/hick rural culture, which is literally the whitest and most Christian subculture in the US outside of the Amish. He's just self-aware enough to realize that there's really nothing "Conservative" about his beliefs outside of his opinions about Jews, immigration, and Church & State; so he campaigns on all this other outlandish shit like the age of consent almost like he's trying to politically virtue signal how much of "true Conservative" he really is. Nick is basically the dissident right equivalent of a light-skinned black girl who grew up in an upper-middle-class suburban neighborhood with mostly white friends and who dated mostly white guys, but then she went through a pro-black nationalist phase in college in a shallow attempt to prove how "blackity black" she really was. Except Nick's "phase" didn't end in college, probably because he dropped out.
I say this because James Allsup, who actually did finish college, dropped out of the public eye, and just got married to a white woman and started a family. This is something Nick will never ever do, because on top of being a gay, nigga-loving, test tube baby, he also has Peter Pan Syndrome and self-induced arrested development.
