Not to mention this incestuous network of illegals being exploited, illegals exploiting the taxpayer, and even them exploiting each other through trafficking, cartel activity, etc. Where they come from, people get stabbed in the face so badly their heads get reduced to a paste. They stab their chests to where you can see their hearts. And for what? Territorial control? Gang warfare? I don't think there's such thing as a military victory outside the context of a political victory. Warfare is a means of attaining political ends. It's not a ritual we engage in for its own sake. "We won every battle but the politicians lost the war" is a common refrain when talking about Vietnam and so on, but it's a way of coping with having lost a war we never should have engaged in. It's a way of making sense of the stupid shit our government does by basically pretending it doesn't matter. Another common cope you see is "that wasn't a war, it was a conflict."
