For a guy who says a lot of bold things, Trump really does pussy down when even an ounce of pressure is against him. Like come on, dude, you want to ravage this country to make it great? You go all the damn way and not say you will. That's how you change shit.
If anything, this is what will actually make him lose supporters. Because his supporters are with him because they believed he's the guy to do things and get them done. If he continues saying things and not doing them and only just to make people cry through words and pussy-footing, his voterbase will turn on him and go out to find someone else who will do what he couldn't.
I don't actually have an issue with how he's handling it for now because he's letting looting and rioting fatigue accumulate in the public, while giving protection to ICE so they can continue the raids, and he's making Newsom look bad, especially with the news the original raids were related to cartel money laundering investigations.
A lot of this seems very similar to the slow burn of the deportations of the "Maryland dad" where they slowly let out a trickle of information that he is here illegally, oh and he's ms-13, oh and he's a wifebeater, oh and multiple people confirmed he's ms-13, oh and - you know what? - on top of everything else he's a human trafficker and we're gonna charge him on that while we're at it.
All while the news media and dems at large double and tripled down and locked themselves into defending him.
No problems with that! But he's not being an effective communicator here.
What he should be saying if he wants to do that is saying over and over again: The national guard is only there to protect the federal building where deportees are being detained, and to protect ICE agents and collaborating agencies from violent people trying to interrupt their duty.
This is allowed under title x, and it is the only thing they're doing. It is Newsoms state and he's handling the riot. And by the way did you know the rioters are throwing rocks and molotovs at LAPD? Oh and did you know they're burning cars? Oh and by the way did you know they're looting? Did you know Newsom is handling it? Did you know he's allowing this? He could call in the national guard for himself and end all this. Did you know he's not? Oh and another person stole a car. Oh and another store got looted. Oh and another cop got injured.
Meanwhile balancing that with (as they have been doing): And the ICE raids will continue. More people will be deported. Here's who we got today. Here's what they did. Here's the type of scum they are. Here is who Newsom and Bass are protecting. Here's another one. Another pedophile. Another murderer. Another human trafficker. Another fent dealer. Another violent criminal.
And then when the case for the riots being paid constructions has congealed (they seem to be pursuing this now), and the riot and looter and illegal alien fatigue has peaked, and when Newsom looks more and more ineffectual - then say "OK we have proof this is an insurrection from foreign adversaries we're taking over"
My only complaint is the mixed messaging. They need to make sure the messaging is clear. The marines and natties are there to protect ICE. ICE is catching violent criminals and removing them from the community. Feds will prosecute fed charges (assaulting the popo), everything else is on Newsom, Newsom is a failure, these protests are actually riots, Newsom is protecting violent criminals and pedophiles, Newsom is letting looters burn the city, Newsom could stop this at any time,
and he isn't because he doesn't give a fuck about you or your city or your stores or your state.
