Clashes outside Federal Plaza ICE building in NYC as police push back on protesters.

I just can't get over how many people I'm seeing here in these protests who are fighting for these people and don't seem to know or care that the people they're trying to protect wouldn't even piss on them if they were on fire.

Some people are telling me this could be the start of a civil war
should I be hopeful kiwibros
I really doubt it. the millitary and weapons are not in liberal control, and the liberals are concentrated in cities that they can't get out of easily. All the military has to do is target power plants and blockade the cities and they would implode on their own. At best it's a hostage situation on a mass scale.

Fuck, I wish Trump was as based as Papa Sheev.
All the rioters would already be corpses if he was.
It'd end up with him getting thrown down a reactor shaft by his number one guy for tasing said number one guy's son too which would be funny. It'd be fine though, he'd just somehow return or something.

After technical difficulties Governor Newsom announced and triples down, placing full blame on President Donald Trump for the escalating anti-immigration riots. Newsom accuses Trump of choosing escalation and dragging a military net over Los Angeles in response to the unrest.

Governor Newsom: "Friends, are quite literally, disappearing."

was actually a reptilian and listed so hard and sounded so gay you could say he was in a glass closet
Was he always? In the movie when we first see his face he is but that's after the spores get him, and he keeps saying "i was once a man...."

Not to get off topic but politisperging hollywood writers who shove their political opponents into their villains only to have fans identify with them is one of my favorite recurring tropes in life.

//BLUF: RIOTS CONTINUE TO SPREAD GLOBALLY. 17x COORDINATED IED BLASTS REPORTED IN COLOMBIA. MASS SHOOTING STRIKES AUSTRIA. STABBING ATTACKS CONTINUE IN SPAIN. UNREST AND RIOTING CONTINUES IN NORTHERN IRELAND.//
-HomeFront-
California: The Los Angeles Riots continue as before amid increasing National Guard deployment. 2/7 Marines began movement into the area yesterday, while the roughly 2,000 National Guard forces continue mobilization.
Overnight, looting and rioting continued throughout the downtown LA area, with pockets of rioting emerging in Little Tokyo, the LA LIVE area, and Pershing Square. Most stores along Broadway were burglarized in the process by coordinated gangs of looters. Train service was halted for Little Tokyo, Chinatown, and Union Station due to unrest in and around the stations. Various ride-share and autonomous driving taxi companies have also begun to shut down services throughout Los Angeles, with Waymo vehicles being observed maneuvering out of the city early yesterday after several of their vehicles were set on fire.
This afternoon, the rioting continued in the same locations as before, with the 101 being shut down due to protesters once again. Additionally, a possible small arms attack was conducted at the corner of Atlantic and Alondra in Compton. An unidentified male produced a firearm and pointed it at a police line down the street.
AC: As this is a developing situation at the time of this report, many details are unclear. However, it's only a matter of time before small arms attacks take place, either directed at law enforcement or otherwise. Several gangs throughout the Los Angeles area have made statements indicating that they will defend their turf with lethal force, mostly in the context of rival gangs taking advantage of the fray to settle scores.
Texas: Demonstrations were carried out yesterday in Dallas and Austin, which devolved into rioting overnight. Further demonstrations are expected throughout the week.
-----END TEARLINE-----
Analyst Comments: Yesterday LAPD Chief Jim McDonnell issued a press statement regarding the deployment of Marines throughout the city. The tone of the letter conveyed irritation, as the LAPD at the time had not been informed that the Marines were inbound. Consequently, this statement helps understand the management problems at the higher levels; communication problems persist both for technical AND political reasons.
Right now, everyone is looking at the burning husk of Los Angeles and thinking that this is a repeat of the unrest of the early 2020s. This may be true, or it might be a precursor to something else. This distinction is most sharply observable via the deployment of certain assets throughout this crisis. In short, the Marines are not there to provide crowd control or even respond to civil unrest for the most part...they are there to mitigate (as best they can) the effects should a legitimate insurgency emerge, in addition to buying time for the National Guard to get spun up and in position.
As attention-grabbing as it is for the nation to watch the B-roll of a car burning on live television, rioting and civil unrest can only get so bad before there's nothing left to burn or destroy, and everyone gets worn out. Right now, even as intense as it seems, the situation in Los Angeles is still a civil issue. The deployment of Marines (when the riots are not nearly as bad as in 2020) is very telling as it conveys the concern that the federal government has that this might not remain in the civil space for too much longer. If the situation in LA were to make the doctrinal transition from civil unrest into an insurgency, the types of units maneuvering and staging are the exact ones one would need to handle a more direct threat. How this situation will develop is anyone's guess, but at the moment quiet preparations are being made just in case these riots turn into something more serious.

& Additional Post-Comment.

Slight update, there are now two brushfires to contend with throughout the LA area. The Bethany Fire in Burbank is mostly under control right now, however the Ranch Fire in the vicinity of Apple Valley continues to be a concern.

Just additional complexities to be aware of as the rioting continues overnight. Doesn't look like either will be a major factor for what's going on in the city, however it's worth making note of.

California’s Governor Gavin Newsom giving press conference with no audio

That's Newsom?

People ITT were saying he's popular because he's a thirst trap for liberal women....Maybe it's the crappy video quality or the head-on angle. or the big head on a turkey-gobble neck with small shoulders....but the first thing that struck me was "he looks old". Not Joe-Biden-old, but still old.

This has been planned and the seeds set since Trump won. In the summer they riot.

They're planning mass protests on the 14th and they want them to get out of hand. So the administration has no point but react. At which point they all point and go "Trump is doing an authoritarian power grab."

Step 1: Mass violent protests against Trump.
Step 2: Trump cracks down on protests.
Step 3: ?
Step 4: Trump is removed from office.
The problem is step 3, where Trump doesn't pussy out. They're fucked at that point.
Based. Ave Imperator. I am media literate, and I am literate enough to know that Palpatine had a point about a corrupt republic controlled from the shadows by a religious cult that was unable to defend its own member States from military attack by foreign nations and avaricious corporations. The clone soldiers at :21 is literally me. That is me about to be sent to Los Angeles by the Emperor to blast the insurrectionists and criminals.
For the Empire! Los Angeles must be made a city of angels once more!

It's the same with the 'free palestine' types. The real palis would gladly kill all the kufir faggots that support them if they could. There's a giant swath of fools that want to support those that hate them the most, I suppose so they'll be forgiven or rewarded somehow. "But I'm on your side" as the knife comes to their necks ain't gonna help guys.

ETA and Newsom does look like shit lately, ever since around the fires he just looks old.

>Trump can't authorize deadly force because the Media will lie about it
>Trump can't authorize deadly force because of public opinion
>Trump can't authorize deadly force because local enforcement isn't doing their job

You seem incapable of holding the same opinion for 2 consecutive posts. Every time your stated reason why Trump shouldn't end the riots is questioned, you find someone new to shift the blame onto. The bottom line is that Trump is the Commander in Chief of the US military, and there is a slew of illegal foreigners rioting in many major cities for the 5th day straight. If he doesn't have what it takes to wield his power effectively and put an end to it, then he does not deserve the power.
That's not what i said. Trump can't authorise deadly force because it's not his jurisdiction. Otherwise there would've been nothing stopping Biden from executing half of Texas. Deadly force is not called for or necessary, and anyone with a brain cell would realise it would just escalate things. Imagine you had an - oh never mind that's an impossible request for you.
