B) if California reelects Newsom or somebody similar to him, they have learned nothing. This is a future in real time if Newsom would somehow frauds his way into the presidency.

California can't re-elect Newsom, he's hit the term limit. Hopefully it won't be someone worse, but it will definitely be someone different. That's why Gavin wants the Big Chair; he's too egotistical to run for the Senate, and he doesn't want to be unemployed.

The cartels have no public loyalty and have struggled fighting against even the Mexican Army, even losing ground to them over the years. The Le Hardcore Zetas were dismantled by them. You're giving them too much credit.
