When you patron the black market for any reason, you are contributing to its existence and all the stuff that it entails. You fund not just the shady Latinos who fix your shit after haggling, but you also give them an incentive to stay and keep working.
Exactly. This is kind of the point I was leading up to. The thing is, I won't judge anyone for going for the cheapest price, especially with how dubious and vague the legal status even is to begin with. I don't think you can outright blame the average person for going "wow Google said the prices here are cheaper" and pursuing that, because, again, it's the cost effective option. But that's the thing. The average person isn't making some stance on immigration or illegal aliens or grandstanding about any of it. They just want their car fixed. The implications are there, sure, but blaming this type of person for being a part of WHY things are so shit is stupid. In reality, it's people who are completely aware of the legal status of the labor they are requesting and engaging with it anyway that are problem. The first step is bringing local awareness to the issue, the second step is putting the money where the mouth is. Everyone I know irl has no fucking idea about some raids that are happening in-state.
Honestly it’s usually a 50/50. Illegal immigration is certainly out of control but the way things have been rigged an unfortunate truth is that for a lot of businesses illegal labor is the only way to stay viable. I can guarantee you most smaller restaurants are filled with illegals in the kitchen
Again, fine, but the same time, if you're engaging with this system while actively disavowing it, there really is no difference between that and being a marxist who makes 145,000 dollars a year through hyper-consumerist bullshit. Then again, I haven't really even had the privilege of having a car to fix recently, so the idea that the people are actively engaging with and even directly funding the illegals they're claiming they want nothing to do with comes off incredibly unprincipled.

TL;DR - If you're going to complain about illegals that you KNOW are actively profiting FROM YOUR OWN VOLITION then I think you're retarded and disingenuous.

If they did, they'd be counter-protesting to drown out the anti-ICE riots.
they don't live in the bluest city of the bluest state of the country you retard

'protests' and 'demonstrations' always skew massively towards urbanites (leftists) because of population distribution.
a significant majority backs trump, but they're spread out across the rural parts of the country.
meanwhile the minority that opposes trump is tightly concentrated in coastal urban bughives, which is where all these protests and demonstrations happen.

"We" means "America." Unlimited immigration is not popular. Every time any variant of "anyone who wants to come here should be allowed if they just fill out a form" is proposed, it's soundly rejected by the voters.
Then there should be plenty of counter-protests in support of ICE. Hell, you wouldn't even need ICE, since the people should be ratting out illegals to the cops themselves if illegals are unpopular.

Marx's most compelling idea in my opinion was exploitation. You can very easily convert a young person (or even an older one) into a Marxoid without them needing to read a single page of drivel by just explaining to them that corporate profit equals the value they create minus what they actually get paid. In other words you are being exploited if you work. This idea is fucking catnip to people.

³It shook me a few years ago when the bin Laden letter was trending as being "rediscovered," and I realized I was surrounded by adults who don't remember reading it when it first came out because they weren't born or they were like 3 years old.
When they announced bin laden was killed I was at my apartment watching the Obama speech. I was and am of the opinion that the 9/11 commission report was not an honest analysis of the days events. When the narrative Obama stated was "we found bin laden, killed him, took him to a naval vessel, verified his DNA and dump the body overboard out of respect" that was the moment I said "oh, well Obama is one of the boys" like Bill hicks had said when Clinton started bombing Iraq.

I was sure that people, en masse, would look at the story presented and say "Oh that's bullshit, how did they have his DNA? Is there a little DNA on every naval vessel in the gulf? They have instant Bin laden DNA tests, I thought that took weeks. The government is lying about 9/11 and now everyone will see it!!!"

Instead there was footage of a bunch of georgetown undergrads having a kegger outside of the Capitol and chrering. After I did the math and determined these kids were about 9 during 9/11 I thought "what is their problem with 9/11, did it interrupt spongebob".

Now older i realize these kids were probably inudated with fear porn in public school and were celebrating the death of the person they were made to fear their entire formative years. Its like if when i was 9 someone told me cobra commander was real and when i was 19 lt falcon announced Gung-Ho had just capped him. I probably would have used it as an excuse to get drunk on a Wednesday.
Tires do not cost that much.
Buddy if the arguement is "used/retread/patched tires are dangerous" and your reply is "just buy the 80$ ones at walmart" I don't know what point you're trying to make. North of the Mason Dixon line where it snows 6 months a year adequate new tires are 100% gonna cost you 200$ a tire on the low end for a sedan, god help you if you have a pickup.

IM POOR, I don’t have $1200 or $1500 sitting around for tires
I'm also poor, and I also disagree with the blatant abuse of our lax immigration laws that benefit illegals, but the thing is, since I care about that cause, you sure as shit expect I'm going to pay for the legal option. Anything else is just an excuse, and I don't think you really care about these topics, which is fine, but pretending to and doing the opposite of your beliefs anyway is just completely ridiculous.

I literally went in to town fair and said “I am poor, what are the cheapest tires you could possibly sell me,” and they said the cheapest tires they had were $300, and they would not sell pairs, only the full set

Worse, this was like five years ago, so it’s DEFINITELY more expensive now
You went to one location 5 years ago and you didn't bother to try a different location or try again in the past 5 years?
Do you get points by referring people? You'll have to show me those deals. You could DM or post on my page if you don't want to clutter this thread.
No idea, I just wanted to do the bit.

That's not how that works. Not protesting means you are against the current "protests" in question. Educating people and yourself is a great counterprotest to start.

Nobody beats a Town Fair Tire deal. NOBODY.
Oh, I thought Town Fair Tire was an actual store to find tires. I get it now.

I hope you know that having a car can be a money sink.
