Controversial opinion: I don't really think Nicky Rugieta's fascination with Redo of Healer is because of some pedophilic fetish. Rather, I think it's his problems with women that are the key issue here. Now hear me out.

Back in the day, when Nick first started talking about this particular anime, I figured it was just some edgy "flavour of the month"-type deal. And then he kept on participating in weekly episode reviews of it on YellowFlash's stream which, much like "Unbreaded" or any other gimmick he ran into the ground, got stale way before it got done. Then, I remember deciding to dig a bit deeper and instantly discovering that the original story was written by a woman. DISREGARD THAT So it wasn't IT WAS a male rape fantasy, but yet another example of female-written RETARDED HANDS WROTE THIS domination porn, coming from the same mental place as 50 Shades of Gray.

And what do we know about 50 Shades of Gray with regard to Nicky? Why, only that he has written a lengthy literary review of it so important and dear to him he kept mentioning it to anyone who'd listen for years, random guests included. Every time he would talk, sometimes unprompted, about this amazing and deep "review" of 50 Shades he wrote, I would think, "There's no way this Facebook post he calls a 'review' is that great, unless that's basically the only literary review he's ever done and thus the only thing he can mention to make himself look erudite."

I believe that Nicky's attraction to Redo of Healer stems from the same place in his mind that his attraction to 50 Shades is coming from.

I've watched 2 episodes of Redo of Healer just now. The characters don't look like kids at all. The dude looks 20 and the pink princess looks almost 30, especially when their faces are close up. I don't know what people are hoping to achieve by calling it "child porn," when it clearly isn't. It's a fetishistic revenge rape female NUH-UH power fantasy, sure, but the characters simply don't look underage and I doubt Mr. Rugieta thought them to be when he participated in these episode reviews on YellowFlash's podcast. Hell, he might turn out to be a pedo now, considering the company he keeps, but I doubt he was one back then.
