Though clandestine sources, I was able to obtain a recording of Nick at his doctor's office receiving his tests results.

Don't sell it short: it could be. With drug addict patient, doctor could be running drug screens looking for prescription abuse.

And if he did piss hot for probation, Nick's first visit would be to doctor to get a prescription for it to show probation officer.

It would be classic Nick lie to couch a failed drug test as a discussion with his doctor.
