China will never be a military threat to us, but they have done a pretty good job economically and culturally. They own a ton of US farmland, tons of meat production, they bought up a lot of movie studios, or at least a large percentage, ten cent owns so many video game companies as well. They aren't going to roll troops into the US, or drop bombs on us, but they are waging their own sort of war.

The problem is China is a military threat to our allies like South Korea and Japan, and they still have nuclear weapons. I'm not certain that China will continue to be as much of an economic threat as the rest of the world gets sick and tired of their IP theft.
