This wasn't the issue with Bloodgames, the issue was the fact its not a video game and the contestants get physically exhausted from the exertion of moving around the woods all day, doing quests then fighting in the 90 degree heat. Then they don't sleep because of SFX spam all night. Maybe half of what went on during Bloodgames was actually recorded by the cameras, the fish would usually split up into groups of 2 and what happened to the other 4 isn't even lost media, it just wasn't recorded at all.
What they need to work on is the technology side of it, they need cameras that can switch to infrared with illuminators or are extremely good in low light settings because most of the night time combat wasn't visible because of the darkness and black clothing the vampires wore. Then they need more static cams to handle times the camera guys aren't around. The POV cams should probably be upgraded to Go-pros to take advantage of the video stabilization features as well.
