He keeps using the long em dash (—) normally seen used by ChatGPT. Is he lazy enough to ask an AI to write something in his style, or is he inspired by seeing bots use the long dash? And which is more cringe?
I'm someone that's always used the em-dash, prior to ChatGPT, since I'm an autistic nerd. But I usually just use the "-" short regular dash, unless I'm writing something formal, then I'd use the long em-dash. So, I don't think that em-dashes are inherently a marker of someone using ChatGPT, unless someone's regular writing style is full of grammar mistakes and resembles a monkey slamming keys on a keyboard. Then it's suspicious.Actually, has anyone with a new-ish smartphone noticed their autocorrect/complete suggesting em dash lately? I could see its popularity (due to chatgpt use) leading to a keyboard update that makes it a commonly suggested character.
But in the context of Sandal Jennings specifically, he's definitely retarded enough to use ChatGPT to write his captions, so you're probably right.
