Nick Rekieta pioneered more 'emotionally charged' coverage of legal cases for the public, as opposed to previously 'dry' coverage from the mainstream media, but Rekieta built his career off of the talent of his guests.
Nick Rekieta took the wrong side in a contentious custody battle with accusations of child sexual abuse, and a father who eventually fled the country with his children because he was losing the case. Nick platformed this guy, raised money for him, and implicit in this story, he gave him legal advice before he fled the country.
