2025 Israel vs Iran War

All I know is that there are a shitton of corks popping out of smuggled champagne bottles in the apartments of Saudi princelings tonight.
This site likes to complain a lot about Trump's favoritism towards Israel but if anyone in that region has benefitted from his presence there it's Saudi Arabia, who got a sweet deal to normalize relations with Israel and now gets to watch the two other major powers in the region duke it out while they quietly profit.

I heard there is a thing called, "dead hand" which activates all Russian nukes if there is nuclear detonation activity in Russia wiping the world out.
The Jew version of that is called the, "Samson Option" So would destroying the capital of Israel activate the Samson option which will than activate the dead hand? I did hear the Samson option also had nukes pointed at Europe.

You realize that the Iranian government actively suppresses authentic persian culture in favor of islamism? All those things are going to still be there when this is over

"Authentic" Persian culture was already Islamised by the time of the Safavid dynasty forcibly converting the Iranian plateau to Ithna'ashari Shia Islam, with the most revolutionary of Persian thinkers explicitly coming from the post-Islamisation, post-Safavid period (i.e. Mulla Sadra). Imam Khomeini just turned the once-secular Pahlavi state of Iran into an isolationist, Islamist hellhole that squandered Iran's national prestige to martyr itself for the Palestinian cause. I also don't want to hear empty guarantees of cultural relics bieng preserved after this war or skirmish or whatever is "over." I certainly don't trust the Israeli government to exercise restraint and caution on the Iranian Plateau if the boiling point is surpassed and war actually does get declared, nor would I trust American assistance in the matter to amount to anything other than indiscriminate bombing campaigns like in Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Frankly, I'm surprised that the USA didn't bulldoze Imam Husayn's tomb in Karbala during their invasion. Maybe it was blind luck, but that's neither here nor there.

If it makes you feel any better, the Israelis really want peace and normalization with Iran, and when the regime is gone, then everything can return.

I'm sure the Israeli people want peace and normalisation, I certainly agree that the Ayatollah and the IRGC must go, but that still won't get rid of the existential despair I feel any time shit like this happens. Let a nigga have international incentives for maintaining Farsi literacy that don't amount to becoming an army cryptolinguist translating Iranian or Afghan documents.

Same here - I've always heard it's a wonderful country to visit. But iirc, right now they're only willing to give me a 2-week visa and I have to go on an organized tour.
Oh I'm more concered because I'm a) a Jew and b) a zionist and c) have been to Israel. I'm not worried some random Iranian will sperg out and "free my head from my neck Palestine" but that the IRGC will "arrest me for being a spy". It's kinda fucked, if I go to Jordan for example I don't have to fear the government just the people, but if I go to Irain it's flipped.

The moment you start banning certain mean words, you end up taking sides just by which mean words you ban. And in any place where there's no ban, people will act like idiots because they've been bottled up
There's plenty of words that'll get you banned on KF. Josh is more of a "judge the action, not the speech" type of guy, but that doesn't stop him from getting his panties in a twist about mean words.

This. They were also threatening to buy their own nukes if Iran ever got one of their own

Well, I'm nice to everyone so I'd never know.

I do wonder how much of their military capacity has been crippled. Imagine the Iranians going to the anti-aircraft weapons and they don't work. And then they go to put planes in the air and they don't work. The sounds of frustration and defeat must have been indescribable.

The Russians probably have somewhat fewer (functional) nuclear weapons than they did at the end of the cold war. You need to take the tritium (edit) out and re-process it to weapons grade every 7 years or so. Russia definitely does that for some of its nukes, but I doubt they keep all ~9000 up to spec.

Fun fact despite KSA being a muslim sharia state most people have a hidden bar somewhere in their house.

The KSA is a fundamental contradiction because they aligned themselves with clerics who enabled the destruction of countless tombs and holy sites in Mecca and Medina (including relatives and companions of the Prophet), stopping only at the tomb of the Prophet himself when the backlash became too severe. Even to this day, the mullahs denounce people who visit the Prophet's tomb as grave worshippers. Meanwhile, they're giving legitimacy to the al-Saud family who LARP like a neo-caliphate because they're the ones in charge of Mecca and Medina. They give the Wahabbist ulema legitimacy by paying lipservice to their insane fatwas, the ulema in return champion the al-Sauds as defenders of the faith and commanders of the faithful. I'm only slightly exaggerating here, but you have no idea how badly I wish it were the KSA on the receiving end of an Israeli military bombing campaign instead of Iran. The KSA, and its consequences, were a disaster for the Dar al-Islam. Except for King Faisal; he was the only man who had a spine among that entire cursed bloodline.
