Looks like Alberta is investigating of there's interest in a passenger train

I wonder if it's because unto 50% of their wage isn't subsidized, nor can they garnish up to 30% of their total salary in housing costs of gen z?
is there an actual source for this? i was just looking it up and couldn't find anything related to the government actually subsidizing wages of immigrants and newcomers

This is done through a combination of programs targeting "newcomers" and "students" at the provincial level. Employers get around 3000 a month from hiring newcomers.

Apparently, Gen Z can't find jobs.

No jobs, no housing, no money, no doctors, and 7% unemployment rate.

The solution is obviously to bring in more Indians and put more money in immigrant programs.

Your Gen Z child is jobless and has no life experience? The solution is to turn your neighbourhood into a replica of India!

Canadian poductivity in decline? Bring in one of the most unproductive nations on Earth, India!

Want better food? Forget about Tokyo, or Paris, bring in the state of Punjab.

It's such an obvious peril we're in but Canadian naïvité is chronic.

i was speaking with my boss today and he said his 19 year old daughter had to apply to 200 positions to get a job.
i never had to do that much to find work when i was that old

Apply for a physical job and you may just get hired without an interview.

Most Indians do not work physical jobs because they view them as low status and are physically weak.

His daughter has to compete with 2 billion Third Worlders for a job, she's lucky she got one.

Unfortunately the average Canadian thinks we'll need to bring in a million Indians because they're all going to be doctors! Lol.

i work in construction, yes its easy to find work but its a limited field you cannot really make that much money unless you really hustle which is gay as fuck and makes me want to kill my self.

Im in the same age bracket and the job market is fucking atrocious. There is a non zero chance that the government has brought in so many pajeets in order to make an entire generation of white Canadians unemployable in order to justify increased replacement

The Indian subcontinent had a cool moment in the New Age era circa 1990's cause it was associated with Ghandi and yoga. It was highly crafted propaganda.

Then social media came along and showed us the real India, the cesspit that is the Ganghes River, diarroeah food, endless r*pes, and a GDP per capita lower than Vietnam.

India doesn't even speak English very well, ranking #69 in the world for English fluency, shattering the image of a British legacy, and ranking even lower than Venezuela.

Not cool. Cringe. Boomers and Millennials fell for the Indian PR in the 1990's.

I’ve spent far more effort finding my last job in Canada in 2023 rather than actually doing it. That’s why I hate IT industry in the west so much - most of the times the HR don’t even have a clue on whom they actually need to hire.

we have not really been a 1st world country for a while lmfao
We arguably were before covid. It was still better to live in Canada pre-covid, than it was to live in, lets say Mexico, Spain, Bali, Vietnam, etc.

Why I say that is because the 9 million Indians that were suddenly dropped into the population during the pandemic is the catalyst for 2nd or 3rd world status.

I think Canada was a failing first world nation prior to Covid, an underdeveloped economy, overleveraged in various areas, with major real estate and hiring problems (but still a 1st world nation);

but for comparison- its reached the point where I unironically have a better standard of living in the 2nd world, than I do in Canada. I have faster doctor visits, my money goes further, my groceries go further, my rent is cheaper, etc. Even for the locals, they have better quality of life. Literally the average person in Indonesia of all places have better quality of life, and something to look forward to- their states seem to be progressing, not regressing. My salary isn't even that much higher than the average local's, but I'd literally rather live where I live because- well frankly I couldn't even afford the rent in my hometown in Canada anymore even if I tried.

Unless you are a boomer or one of the chosen techies (and even then your quality of life is decreasing), its literally easier to exist in the 2nd world at this point, than it is to exist in Canada.

The saddest part to me is seeing this happen within the span of essentially a decade. Life in 09, 10', the early 2010s wasn't so bad. Even up to the mid 2010s Canada was pretty chill, if rigged in some ways. Now? You're faster to get MAID or your dick chopped off than an MRI scan.
