There are more possible wars than wars of conquest or wars against existential threats to a nation.
Sure, Iran's sovereignty isn't being threatened by the current conflict, but their ability to accomplish their aims by force and conflict is certainly in jeopardy. If they were smart (spoiler alert: they aren't), they'd take a step back, reevaluate their aims, and seek de-escalation and Détente with Israel and the West.
Peaceful relations would benefit both sides in the long term, unless you're a crazy fundamentalist who only cares about seeing the west and Israel destroyed. Unfortunately, those are the exact people who run Iran, so this will likely continue.

No, the main reason Israel exists is that it is militarily superior to any of its rivals and can just defeat them. This means it can deter and even have friendly relations with some of them.

Israel doesn't have the luxury of relying on perception since it's actually military capability is regularily tested. So if it was just perception the world would have quickly found out and Israel would have disappeared in the 1960s.

The Axis of resistance has suffered severe attrition and gained some left wing support. Especially with young people. But that's a terrible trade considering the cost. People in their 20-30s change their political views a lot so there is no guarantee that they will still be pro Palestine in 10 years. There's also no guarantee the Palestinian issue will be the decisive topic in an US election.

What the Axis of resistance had before was tangible military resources that could actually deter Israel. Because what democratically elected politicians wants to fight out how good the missile arsenal actually is unless he has to.
