People discussing these events as if they're seriously gonna lead to something are so funny to me. Oh wow, there's unrest in the middle east? Wtf that's entirely unexpected, how could this be? What an unpredictable turn of events that nobody has accounted for, surely something will happen this time.

No, nothing will happen, Iran will take it like a bitch because Israel is backed by america, they'll write a strongly worded letter, bark a bit about killing all the jews everywhere all at once, do nothing about it, and the world will move on as if it never happened.

Basically in the next week Iran will annihilate US and NATO bases in the gulf and kill thousands of troops while also destroying the US economy. By week two it will have summoned "the majority of the world’s landmass, population, economy and military power" to its side in the mighty BRICs alliance and will be in the process of annihilating the west in WW3...

....or it will still be shitting itself and doing nothing

And Iran has been talking shit for, what? Fifty years? Imagine a new next-door neighbour moving in and threatening to kill you every single day for half a century (while occasionally lobbing a grenade through your window). At what point do you gain the moral right to sort that fucker out?
