I actually have to switch sides at this point and lean towards Kuwait. I initially thought she was scared and fled the scene, Salah had broken up with her, and she was busy preparing a new arc. However, now that these charges have come out, it seems to me like the perfect time to make an appearance for the views, and I don't see any valid reason for not going live in Canada after so much time has gone by. Besides her hiding & looking like death, she can’t afford to eat like this now. Salad was trying to control her food spending before this happened, so money must really be tight now.

I believe she’s in Kuwait for the simple reason of being broke.
Maybe her family will decide to help her out eventually with a ticket, but everything happened pretty fast. And let’s face it, her family isn't sitting on piles of money to be used for a plane ticket at a moments notice.

Like always, she just thinks this will all blow over if she just stays hidden. Maybe it will. But her days of begging for money from there are probably over.

She is most likely hoping family will get her out & will pop up in Canada at a later date. Her VISA run is coming up anyway.
We rarely see her scared, so these last days have been especially satisfying.
