US needs to walk away from Israel, and let them stand on their own 2 feet. They and their opponents can nuke each other into glass, and no reason for the US to be in the mid east after that.

I honestly think that is what Trump is trying to do: get Israel and Saudi Arabia to police their own back yards. We keep selling them the tools of the trade but stop shoveling them money (most of which went through USAID), but we look the other way when they bomb Iran and its proxies. I think a big reason Bibi and Obama hated each other is Obama told Bibi he wasn't getting as much money if he went around bombing people. After the October 7th attacks, I think Bibi sees the political utility in taking that offer. He wants to stay in power until he dies.

I could be wrong, though.

I'm convinced now more than ever that the average US citizen is a fucking idiot. We didn't have a draft for the War on Terror so why do they think there would be a draft for a shithole like Iran we could roll up in half a day?

There were talks a few years ago about reintroducing the draft, but that went away when Trump won because he is way better for recruitment. Numbers significantly improved already after Trump took office.
