What's worse is you can apply this to not just Walmart, but so many industries which are in fact critical to living in a modern industrial society. If Walmart collapsed tomorrow it would suck economically, but society would be able to adapt and survive. The trucking industry collapsing however....

Once the boomers are gone, some industries will be very close to collapse since the knowledge will be lost if newer generations aren't taught how to work in those industries.

However worst of all the US federal government is probably the king of retards here. It's just moving off of pure inertia and bloat at this point, and not effective governance.
