I was planning to go to the military parade today, but I pussied out (potential civil unrest + taking the metro at night as a lone woman seemed like a bad idea). Instead I went to Mt. Vernon and they have some special events for the 250th anniversary of the military. While there, I overheard someome call today "no king's day" as if it was a proper noun.
Also heard from a relative that there are anti-Trump protests happening near them.

So far I can only find news on a protest in Amsterdam that supposedly has 'hundreds' of people. surprisingly no crowd shots, but they did take a picture of a dog.

I tried searching about this but I then dug a bit deeper and noted that the "No Kings" protests in Europe are completely fucking retarded. People who want to attend the protest have to sign in with a United States ZIP code for a protest in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Even Dutch redditors are calling it retarded because the Netherlands has a royal house but the protest has nothing to do with the Dutch monarchy. So anybody attending these protests, especially in Amstedam, are US expats who are still seething at Trump even an ocean across.

The reddit OP who made the post for the No Kings protest in Amsterdam is also an US expat with social anxiety, lmao.
