I remember reading a thread on R/Donald back in the day (before Reddit neutered, than abolished it) by someone confused by their elderly Republican grandfather's sudden strange interest in attending anti-Trump pro-Democrat protests/rallys. At first they thought maybe he (a widower) had a secret girlfriend at his assisted living facility/was attending them with her. Nope, turns out, their grandpa was just going to them 'cause by happenstance he saw a sign at the community center promising a free trip to a steakhouse after every rally The kicker - the grandpa was pro Trump, he'd just stand around for a few hours at Democrat rally's 'cause he wasn't turning down a free steak diner!
