Our soldiers are marching exactly as they have been trained to and as they would on base. Its just an unfortunate aspect of our military that we have never really had much interest in flashy march drills like China or Russia. I cant even remember a military parade being propped up like this, its just not something we do
I'd support training on snappy march drill over muh toxic masculinity in a FUCKING ARMY

The boomer rock has been a staple since the 90's.
It's never going away. Especially Thunderstruck.
I know, and Trump has made it part of his aesthetic with "Fortunate Son" and "YMCA" at his rallies. And for what it's worth, I think it fits for what he's doing, but for a military parade it just doesn't work imo. Imagine if Japan played J-pop at their military parades. Boomer rock is a cornerstone of American culture at this point, for better or worse.

A parade is a great opportunity for a military to present itself to the public and the world as something well ordered and attractive. If you go outside, do you not iron your shirt and take a shower so you look presentable?
I'm pretty sure the kids watching the parade in person like the friendly soldiers and comfy music.

I wasn't born here, but I'm enjoying this parade a lot. It actually looks like the army put it together. It's not a flashy, sham, Super Bowl looking shitshow obviously funded by military industrialists and bankers. Even the band sounds like a bunch of local geezers who only got this gig because a four-star general goes to the shore shack they're usually playing.

I just thought how horrid it is for the US government to celebrate Nam and GWOT for more reasons than one.
Our men fought bled and died in those hell holes. Shut the fuck up traitor.
Funny part is that, had they marched pretty, they'd be saying that the parade resembles those of North Korea or the Nazis.
You literally can't win. Either it's "lame" or it's "fascist". It's like, bruh. Just let me watch tanks roll down the street, it's cool

Yeah and? They would have liked it if the soldiers were goose stepping and the battle hymn of the republic was playing too. They would have liked it if Ronald McDonald led the congregation and the soldiers shot at the guests with water guns. Kids like anything, a parade should instill a sense of pride among the population and fear among the enemies.

We don't need to. The US Army is the most lethal fighting force on the planet and its not even close. This is an exceptional event for the 250 year anniversary. We are humble unlike most nations.

What's the problem then? This parade is pleasant. I can't even imagine jeering at this just because it doesn't look like Darth Vader put it together.

Seems like most people agree it was a mistake, needless loss of life to feed the military industrial complex.

"trAItoR" - Yeah, because false flags aren't real.

These sorts of comments make me more anti-US/NATO the longer I live.

Yeah, about that...

Tv shows for kids used to be fucking terrifying. Now it's sanitized beyond anything resembling human condition. We are just grooming our kids to become losers.
