The way the United States entered into war with Germany was funny. High ranking Nazi officials underestimated the United States, Germany was obliged to come to the aid of Japan but only if a third country attacked Japan not if Japan attacked a third country and even though Foreign Minister Ribbentrop reminded Hitler of that he did so anyway on December 11, 1941 which was 4 days after Pearl Harbor had occurred.
ifir it was more complicated than this. Hitler didn't care or something like that. He knew US industry was a big threat but I forget the reason he did it. Might have been trying to get Japan to invade the Soviets and knock them out of the war in an attempt to get into a negotiating position against the allies but I really don't remember.

BTW, if it is "fake news" that the protests aren't all peaceful, then why has the National Guard been called to LA, and why does even Wikipedia post that at "a June 10 press conference, it was announced by Los Angeles officials that at least 23 businesses had been looted overnight, with losses and damages estimated in the millions"? Riots: real.

does anyone have a livestream for Portland? the one i just posted had gone quiet (the streamer lost the crowd) but people in chat keep saying that portland is kicking off

Why would you think the looting, burning of cars and clashes with police wasn't peaceful. Sounds like just another day in LA to me.

I came across one, it seems to be someone at the scene.
I'm really surprised they haven't installed sprinklers outside all these buildings yet, with a choice of water or pepper flavored water or maybe just a nice tear gas fogger.

Confirms my theory. Analyst explains it here:

Now comes the strategic phase. It’s obvious that the U.S. and Israel are playing **good cop, bad cop** with Iran. Israel strikes. Meanwhile, President Trump says, “I’m ready to sign a deal.”

It’s the same model Israel proposed regarding Hezbollah: The U.S. pushed for a deal *before* the war. Israel said - let us first weaken their capabilities. Then we can talk. Now, Israel is using the same logic with Iran. All wars end. This one will too.

And the thinking in Jerusalem is: if we can cripple Iran’s capabilities first - and then negotiate - that’s the optimal outcome. But for that to happen, the U.S. must stay in the game. It must maintain leverage - either by escalating directly or by continuing to enable and defend Israel’s actions against Iran.

The way this ends matters most – not the first strike. The Islamic Republic fought the Iran-Iraq war for 8 years, and stopped only when its leader, Khumeini, decided its essential for the future of the regime.

If this is to have long-term meaning for the Middle East - if it’s to restore security and stability - then it must also ensure that Iran doesn’t use this war as cover to break out for a nuclear weapon.

No senior Israeli intelligence or military figure believes Iran is incapable of doing so -even in the face of overwhelming Israeli success. What Israel has begun can only be successfully brought to an end by the United States.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! NOOOOOOOO!!! STOP NOTICING THINGS

All this trump 3rd term talk is just fodder, stuff to fill air and hit quotas. besides if Trump really wanted to keep power post presidency, he could always become speaker of the house, either that or become governor of florida. i wouldn't waste getting rid of that amendment on an old man less than a year from being 80.

especially speaker of the house, he really only has to deal with 435 assholes, a majority from his own party, which means way less shit to deal with compared to the executive branch plus he gets to be part of the presidential line of succession, although in terms of job stability becoming governor would be his better option. florida is the 3rd largest state by population and a big fucking deal.
It's effective. I noticed it at his press conferences when he has other staff there. they just look right instead of the dysgenic freaks under biden. I mean that Stephen Miller guy looks the part for his role.
its not always effective, that same type of thinking is how we got Sessions, Pence, Mad Dog, and Milley. Most of Trump's choices to endorse especially for senate also came from that thinking, which is why he endorsed guys like Dr.Oz

phyisgnomy is mostly bullshit and its barely above a coin flip in terms of how accurate it is. Case in point Montagraph vs Rekeita. whether you look at them back when the lawsuit first happened or even right now, you would be wrong to think the better looking, skinny dude is the hero of the story.

Antifa militants have taken over a block of downtown Seattle in front of the Federal Building. No police.

Look at the Antifa mob swarm this Tesla Cybertruck driver in downtown Seattle. They quickly come to their senses and realize the vehicle has multiple cameras to record their bad behavior.
