Well, if you really want to get into it, language also serves to help reflect a speaker or writer's identity, their belonging to certain groups and their relationship to their audience. This is true whether someone is being sloppy with their language, being careful with their language or correcting someone else's language.

You could argue that these are, or at least should be, secondary in importance, but most posts on this site don't serve any primary purpose at all. There are no thingamagimies to fetch.

I think you're exactly spot on here. I think his ODD, is just that him having the mindset of an abuser. He seems to enjoy it, especially when it comes to women, the way he speaks to women that he dislikes really shows his character.

He seems to also use sexual boundary crossing, as a part of a wider tool-set of abuse. He's screams and insults and verbally abuses, but when it comes to women in particular, like Judge Fisher or Elissa he uses a sexual angle. The way he spoke to the judge, someone who is a coworker of his, is nothing short of sexual harassment, and he paired it with a deeply misogynistic rant. It really displays who this guy is. When it comes to Elissa he implied that she was sending naked pictures to someone on discord.

Normally it's pretty lame especially if it's unasked for or done in a condescending way to demean someone speaking the language as their second or even third while the person doing it can't even speak their mother tongue well enough.
With skelly though, it's totally justified. He loves hunting for minute grammatical errors on twitter and gets it wrong half of the time (see effect vs. affect). Instead of properly responding or better, ignoring bait, he picks on grammar like a primary school teacher.

I feel like Nick and Kurt are an excellent contrast.

Kurt clearly has his own mental health... issues, whatever they are. But he tries very hard to do well despite them.

Nick has social charm, maybe, but he completely indulges his own worst traits. His fashion sense is ass. Peach colored shirt and shorts. The tie is so egregious. He can't tie it correctly both ends are wrong. The knot isn't tied correctly, from what I can see (due to the quality) he tried a "four in hand" style but there is no dimple at the bottom of the knot. Most knots have a dimple at the base. Even if it's supposed to be goofy the tie and shoes clash with the shirt and shorts. If it were just the shirt, shorts, and a pair of khaki dock shoes or flip flops it would be fine (except for the wrinkles). A tie is meant to complement the the shirt not the focal point.
