Now in reality I'm white and married white and have white kids. I wouldn't wave a finger at someone who wanted to marry someone along racial or especially cultural lines. But I'm not gonna throw a fit if a guy white guy marries some black girl with a white accent from a white town.

The biggest issue is that if you are white and state an ingroup preference most people act like that's tantamount to committing genocide, and of course won't judge any other race for an ingrown preference.

I'm out of the dating pool for the foreseeable future, so it's just kind of hard for me to give a shit.

It's an old thing to talk about at this point but it is impressive how fast (relatively speaking) interracial marriage and relationships became acceptable from the 1960s onwards. Media and educational institutions approving of it certainly helped.

That video looks like it was shot in Chicago so honestly it isn't all that surprising that interaction went the way it did. In some parts of the country a White person being in relationship with a Black one is still frowned upon though at this point it's mainly behind closed doors in private where such feelings are expressed.

The overall approval of interracial marriage is more accepted but overall, however, the vast majority of people tend to stay within their own ingroup, unless you're an East Asian woman.


Alot of the fears with this is due to porn consumption, Media exposing people more to it, online rhetoric, when people do see them it sitcks out and stats about X/X couple, which are mostly true but said so much no one takes them that seriously.
