So her skunk was really bothering me! I just couldn't seem to understand just what it was about this design that seemed a bit....familiar?

As you can see from the pics in the spoiler, they'res a lot a similarities. Namely the color pallette being various shades of purples right down to a similar light streak of purple on the tail, a crop jacket, overall "punkish" "alt" vive and like Autumn mentioned is also mischievous. Oh wait and cant forget both characters are some flavor of gender special


It may be a bit of a stretch, but knowing this girl's track record of being "inspired" by other people's designs it dosen't seem that far fetched

I don't really think Is a rip-off tbh, Autumn tends to use purple for her fursona or variants of it, I think for the first time it was a coincidence.
Plus when Autumn rip-offs characters they look A LOT like the original ones, and Saint doesn't look much like the Indigo Park character (Thank God)

Your art has progressively become more uncanny valley over the last year because the heavily stylized head and other features like fur tufts do not mesh well with the realistic portrayal of bodies. You need to either stylize the bodies more, or make the head more realistic. But you don't follow basic advice we ever give you.

There's also literally no 'art improvement' on display here, just a design change. When she did the piece on the left all her other characters were semi-realism, that was the only one drawn with a stylized head.
I get that Autumn isn't exactly familiar with the difference between stylization and anatomy, as we're frequently reminded by her total inability to draw certain things because she has no idea what the actual form looks like in space, but come on. The only real 'change' here is she's become more allergic to characters wearing clothing.

What bothers me most about salem is the color split down the face and torso honestly. Makes the design look very amateur and very hard for the eye to parse.

The art in general has that uncanny quality to it, if you squint or look at it from a distance it looks like the artist has good anatomical understanding, but once you take a closer look it becomes very obvious that there is hardly any of said understanding here, and the artist is just going by muscle/visual memory without ever having studied or practiced it.
