2025 Israel vs Iran War

It honestly doesn't make much sense for them to attack random civilians when they can accomplish that with at least a degree of separation via a proxy group.
Hard to do that when all your available proxy groups have been either decapitated, severely depleted, or so isolated that resupply is next to impossible.

Iran has already basically won. Isreal went at them full force and barely made a dent. Now Iran is free to retaliate at their leasure. They are not moving to action hastily. They are cool, calm, and collected. Biding their time planning their target but when they strike it will be with the force of 1000 Allah's. Isreal fucked up and has awoken the sleeping giant!

I'm 50/50 on if this is satire. Very nice.

There is no solution to nuclear Iran that does not depend on regime change which would all but require 'BoOtS oN tHe GrOuNd'
They're not a nuclear nation though (yet). You don't have to send troops in to foment regime change. The entire region is proof of that.

For all their claims, Israel does not have complete air dominance over Iran, but they're being enough of a pain in the ass that any development or construction of a nuclear weapon is on hold for the foreseeable future.

There is enough anti-regime sentiment in Iran already (more so than there was in Syria if you count the number of groups involved) that some kind of revolution is inevitable. Will it be a success though? Thats a different tale entirely. I've no doubt that Mossad's activities haven't just been driving vans (they do love their vans) around Tehran while being chased by motorcycle cops. When they're not handing out comical exploding pagers they're usually doling out weapons via proxies.

Israel said Iran was close to producing a nuclear weapon, but US intel suggested otherwise.
[...] US intelligence assessments had reached a different conclusion: Not only was Iran not actively pursuing a nuclear weapon, it was also up to three years away from being able to produce and deliver one to a target of its choosing, according to four people familiar with the assessment.
(@Combustion Engine couldn't direct reply, sorry)

@Catch The Rainbow I'm getting the impression you're from Israel. I'm not sure what the left-wing/right-wing perspective on the strikes is but I'm curious whether any Israeli media outlets have been negative in their assessment of the strikes and propose them being a decision made to accrue political capital for Netanyahu. Like, "he's only doing this to shore up popular support/help his poll numbers", that sort of thing. Again not positing that the strikes were completely unwarranted (Hezbollah is (or was) effectively an extension of Iran) but is there any such sentiment amongst the Israeli population?
but being realistic, so can I.
Wanna do something really funny?

Good evening, first time in this thread thought I'd offer my unwelcome twopence. Benjamin Netanyahu is a charlatan, a psychopath and a pussyhole. Anyone who believes an imaginary man in the sky granted them the privilege of land can't be positioned as the person of reason around who should or should not have nuclear weapons. The same way I wouldn't trust any other religious fundamentalist (including the Iranian regime) to hold the pen.
Israel won the wars. They won a lot of wars. They withstood decades of attacks. They won the land. The Arabs lost it. They lost it in wars they started with surprise attacks and big coalitions. War is not fair, particularly for Muslim Arabs, and bitching changes nothing. The Israeis took it and made it theirs. This is the oldest and most fundamental right, the right to victory and the spoils. It undergirds our whole system of politics--if it's your land, you're on it, defending it, governing it, and killing those who say otherwise.

I highly doubt the 2 tankers on fire in the straight of Harmuz was a gps error. The fog of war is nothing more than the fuel of propaganda.

The Orange man is using us air force and Us Naval Assets to run a vassal war for Israel when he told the american people he would not get us involved. . .

Letting Israeli missiles fly, using American tankers to refil the Israeli air force. Yet defending Israel from Iranian Missile attacks is getting involved.

whats even more salt on the wound is All those Patriot/Iron Dome Munitions expended are going to be replaced on us tax dollar dime and gifted back to israel .....

Really disappointing orange man

Muslim civil war
That would more than likely happen if Iran did fall apart. Considering how many non-Persians hate Persians, and don't want to be part of Iran. The Iranian Azerbaijanis may want to break away and become part of Azerbaijan

Excellent bait, my friend.

JUST IN: US intelligence finds that Iran was years away from producing a nuclear weapon, contradicting Israeli intelligence that claimed they were days away.

S-K opinion: Netanyahu just wanted to send the USA into another blood fest, creating turmoil in the region and more refugee and senseless death.
Same old same old. Thirty years ago, it was Iraq .... Now it Iran.

What? The people that said there were WMDs in Iraq, lied again!?!?
I personally think they already had the means of nuclear production, but that's Israel's problem.
