Now, Iran is MOUNTAINOUS and REALLY BIG AND HAS MILLIONS OF REINFORCED TUNNELS. Even if America were to drop all the bunker busters (and leave none for China) there's no way it would create a decisive defeat of Iran. I know it. CENTCOM knows it. Israel knows it. "we'll survive as a guerrilla resistance in the tunnels/jungle/mountains" isn't exactly a winning strategy for a national government. it means giving up your authority and control over your own (claimed) territory, you are reduced to a rebel/insurgency group. if the shia regime ever comes to that point, then israel has won a decisive victory, because in that condition the ayatollah would be completely toothless and unable to pose any threat to israel itself.

Untill they pop back up. Look at the Map. Iran has underground CITIES AND FACTORIES. I guess Israel could bomb Tehran and other cities indiscriminately enough, but there's no way the Iranian military would be out of action. The main issue is the IRGC vs Regular Army divide, but I'm betting they'd come together if Israel starts bombing indiscriminately.

note: Timing of this is perfect for Iran from an ideological point of view. Muharram starts in a few days(most important event in shia history where 3rd Shia imam and 70 of his followers took a legendary last stand against a 5-10k strong army)

Yes. SOCOM and JSOC are most likely already at war, and politicians are legally allowed to lie if asked about their involvment. Joe Biden did it with Syria. He said "there's no boots on the ground in Syria" knowing full well that there were members of JSOC operating there. Look at the death of Delta Force Master Sargent Dunbar.
