So in all fairness I do think there's a reasonable strategic gambit to be made in attacking Iran. Its the same gambit more famously known as the Schlieffen plan. Knock out one of the key pillars of an entente/axis and now you've got one fewer theaters of war to engage in. This plan can also very easily go awry and backfire ruinously. Trump and his ilk should be cautious.
