There is only one nation who's policy is "nuke everyone including neutral and allies" in the event of a state failure. Hence why I said hold the entire world hostage. Not even the Russians had a policy that spiteful.
If you were alive during the Afghanistan-Iraq wars, most polling showed support for those invasions too. That doesn't mean its a great idea, and this is actually one of the flaws of democracy. Sometimes the majority opinion is not the best choice to make.

People defending Israel scoff when people bring up the Samson option and in the same breath insist that Iran is only developing nukes to attack Israel, not as a last resort to defend themselves like literally every other nuclear power. It’s total doublethink, it’s hypocrisy, and it’s lying.
Iran hates America and refers to it as the Great Satan. They killed over 1k US soldiers in Iraq and Beirut. They hate American values and consider them degenerate. I listed this all out earlier.
US is so short on personnel now days a full invasion of Iran isn't happening without a draft. Short of another 9/11 or pearl harbor you aren't getting the public support for this and good luck drafting an apathetic and unwilling population.
Even if this were true, why should Americans or Israelis want to give a regime that openly hates you, calls for your destruction, and has repeatedly used proxies to kill your people that option? Surely, you'd want to make sure they couldn't have that option if they start acting up, unless you want Iran to have the ability to kill Americans with impunity?
