They are not corrupt in any way that would threaten regime stability or power in the way Arab/Middle Eastern or South American countries are. North Korea is ruled in reality from the shadows by the Organizational and Guidance Department, who are the most fanatically loyal, deeply pathologically ideological cadre of the country. These are the guys that literally have their hands up the ass of Kim Jong Un and he would probably suffer a "heart attack" if he went against them. North Korean tech is advanced dude for the size of their country and their industry, far ahead of any other player of it's size. They have actual hypersonic glide vehicles that put Russia and Iran to shame based on Japanese radar reports, they have a more accomplished missile and rocket program than South Korea. Their tanks are literally more advanced and reliable than the fucking T-90M despite being based on a modified T-62 platform. They are Top of the table players in Global Cyber warfare. They now have nuclear submarines. They have Nuclear Drone submarines, They have Nuclear fucking weapons lmao. If North Korea wanted, it could have nukes barelling down on the US Western Coast and there is literally no defense the US could put up.
Also lets be real fucking up side launching a ship launch is very common, entire complations of it on Youtube. Massive fuckup, but this is pretty common, and lets be real, that ship again, is pretty advanced.
Their latest tank is most likely based on German tank platforms, and has modern optics, counter-measures and everything.

Literally copium. Every piece of North Korean tech we get our hands on, works as intended and advertised. The general actual expert opinion is that North Korea isn't bluffing with it's weapons.
I do not believe a war against North Korea would, at all be like what we are seeing with Iran, or the incompetency we saw with Russia, it would be long, bloody and costly. As even Andrei Lavrov says, North Korea is arguably the most "pragmatic" regime on earth in ensuring their survivability. They literally survived through the Ardrous March which would have any other country implode in under a month.

The idealist in me thinks a historian/archaeologist should be the ambassador to Israel instead of a religious nutter. The history and culture in that tiny region is extremely important and having someone who gets that would be beneficial to all parties involved.

If not that, maybe a scientist/engineer given the MIC and general R&D presence in their culture and economy? Better still, a scientist/engineer who enjoys history/archaeology as a hobby and likes shitposting on a flightless bird agricultural website? Yeah that would be best option. Call me, and I’ll give Trump my resume, lol
