Surely 3.5 hours isn't long enough to go from breaking ground to raising the flags. Assuming these are giant fuck-off flagpoles (and I would expect nothing less from Trump), they'd need to pour some concrete to make sure they're stable, right? Is this the blunder that finally ends Drumpf's career in politics?

Where did this "Iran tried to kill Trump" conspiracy theory come from? Fake "intelligence" from Mossad?

The first attempted assassin was a Democrat donor and the second one was obsessed with Ukraine and wanted to kill Trump to stop him from cutting off their funding.

Neither had anything to do with Iran.
The Perpetrator, Thomas Matthew Crooks, real name Reza Ali Esfanani, tried to assassinate Trump on July 13, 2024. The motive was his love for Imam Ali and hatred of America, and he was a Corporal in the IRGC

Would I be out of line for completely cutting off my support for Trump if he joins a war against Iran for the sake of Israel?
Depends.

If you're of the narrative that Bibi planned all this and it was a calculated move to destroy Iran and cripple MAGA in one blow, then yes. You're playing right into Israel's hand.

If you think that's crazy and the people who did 9/11 wouldn't ever possibly do something that evil, then no. You're merely being a man sticking to his principles.

Some iranian guy was caught and charged with murder for hire about a year ago and i think he squeeled and said the gov paid him or something. But then the iranian president went on NBC and said he didn't do it so that clears that up.

I remember articles about it back in November

Don't know much and never dug into beyond remembering seeing the headlines so idk if you guys want to dissect it have at it.
Anyone who thinks Ted came out better in that exchange is delusional.
I'm pretty indifferent on it but I've also just never really liked Tucker. and the "what's the population" gotcha question just hits me like a "oh so you're a fan of X band name every song" type question.

yes it really weird how the rolled over on this.
Yeah, makes me wonder what's been long known behind the scenes for them to just show their bellies.

Oh, well, we all know politicians are entirely trustworthy and that Iran doesn't have a branch of its government outside his control and specifically dedicated to various forms of fuckery.

For those who want a TL;DR of the link: Imagine the CIA. Now imagine the CIA being open about the fact it constantly engages in all sorts of reprehensible shit and refuses to answer to the elected officials. And to make matters worse, its now an explicitly and proudly hardcore Islamic organization. They've certainly got that GLA drip, though.

But it isn't. It would behoove a senator calling for war with a country to actually know something about the country he wants to go to war with
but that's the point of my comparison to the "name every song" question.

"he should know something about the country" doesn't mean "he should know every single detail" that shit in my eyes is for the generals to put together and present to congress when seeking their approval as to whether or not it would ever be feasable. an in a situation like right now where a ground war isn't even being floated. The countries total population matters even less when it comes to just knowing whether or not a nuclear site should be bombed.

i think a better way to sum it up is israel fatigue. people are tired of seeing these cowards hide behind the usa and trying to weasel us into another war through our double agent politicians. idc about people complaining about it as its on topic and is a valid complaint
We’re suffering enough. We’ve been getting sold down the river since before my parents were even born. Fuck Israel. Fuck them for making everything about themselves, and fuck losing more American lives for fucking dates and some prophecy no one even believes. If Israel so great, let them fight their own battles.

I’d like a general opinion from the thread:

Would I be out of line for completely cutting off my support for Trump if he joins a war against Iran for the sake of Israel?
Since that promise is important to you, no. I’ll be forever grateful to Trump for everything he’s done so far, but that promise matters to me, too. Think of how much off the country would be if we didn’t throw hundreds of thousands of lives and trillions of dollars at people who fucking hate us. People think that bombing Iran would stop them from funding terror groups, but it would perpetuate the forever war -> rapefugee grift. People would use the war as an excuse to bring more terror cells into the West because oy vey imperialism. I say no.

He came out looking worse optics wise but that's because tucker pulled a gay trick.

The interviewee is always on the backfoot because they don't know what questions are going to be asked, the interviewer does. You see CNN pull this shit all the time. It's why tucker didn't want to move on and make whatever point he had about why the population of Iran mattered, he just wanted to hone in on the fact that cruz didn't know this thing because it's an optics win for him.

It's really not that relevant, i doubt anybody here could name the population of israel off the top of their head, but they've given plenty of opinions on it. I think Cruz is a fuckhead but he will have to know all sorts of shit to be a politician and not knowing how many brownoids live in some shithole isn't a deal breaker for me nor do i think it's a prerequisite to having an opinion on whether or not it should be glassed.

So the CIA?
The CIA at least occasionally pretends it is an honorable and decent organization. They also have an excellent World Fact Book which is absolutely not a way for them to demonstrate their ability to obtain, analyze, and collate information, especially the kind people would rather keep hidden.

"he should know something about the country" doesn't mean "he should know every single detail"
Yes but he should bloody well know how many people live there, what the ethnicity, religion, tribal grievances of the people who live there are, etc. I mean, for fuck's sake, this is how we got Israel in the first fucking place. We the British drew the borders around the region without any regard to what people actually lived there and what their ethnic grievances were with people in the surrounding areas
that shit in my eyes is for the generals to put together and present to congress when seeking their approval as to whether or not it would ever be feasable.
Generals almost always want to go to war (in the sense that most people who get promoted to General are neocon war whores who will feed the war machine) and will use or omit any information necessary to arguing their case. See: muh WMDs in Iraq

A Senator, whose vote could be crucial in whether or not these warmongering pieces of shit actually get their wish, should fucking know better
