Is it good idea to reveal this info without a very good reason? We reassure leakers that mods will maintain their anonymity if they privately verify. I don't particularly care about this person specifically but I think it is not good for our reputation and the likelihood of future kiwileaks to be willing to get verified if you betray confidence just because they're not posting here anymore.
Agreed, especially since they specifically asked not to be doxed. Lame decision
I have nothing against @Trombonista just because I am disagreeing with a decision, to be clear. I think she's a good mod and a good poster. My point isn't because I have any particular feeling about the individual in question but more that it's the principle of the thing; a lot of leakers only verify because they are assured anonymity and this will damage that level of trust for future potential leakers.

I agree with this pretty much entirely and I also like Trombonista. I had guessed who the leak was, but I do think this kinda undermines the leakers. I still hold out hope that one day Daniel might show up (go ahead and give me rainbows), but this kind of thing makes it less likely.

I think he knows he’s talked about here and doesn’t want his face plastered here. Becky lovebombed the shit out of him that one weekend when we got the face reveal. The trip to his sister, talking about being a stepdad, begging him for long term, guaranteed commitment and a baby. Playing house with hahnuh and him at the airb&b. She laid it on very thick. The photos of him without his face visible (side, back views) had plenty of commentary on his hygiene etc as well and I think the thread doxed his place of work though I’m not 100% sure on that.
In defense of Trombonista, Becky complained that someone in Sam's circle is a damn dirty KF poster and Trombonista had already posted a tacit agreement to Becky's accusation when it happened. So implications were already made.
Because even Becky's embarrassed at what a troll Sam is, and not the "hot, young boy toy" she desperately wants everybody to think she can pull in. Hence, the digital version of a paper bag on the head.
