Considering they've really only gone after military leadership rather than internal/civilian leadership seems to imply any "do iranians, overthrow your gov!" propaganda is just to keep the Iranian gov busy while Israel continues to dismantle their military & nuclear program.

While I think Israel may be serious about wanting to curtail Iranian nuclear ambitions, I’d wager the primary driving factor for this campaign is to permanently destroy Iran’s ability to fund and arm extremist groups in the Middle East - predominantly the remnants of Hamas and Hezbollah. These groups were only as strong as they were, because they received training, funds and arms from Iran.

Israel has effectively dismantled both groups, but if support continued unabated by Iran, they’d eventually rebuild and pose a threat in the future. I think Israel is using the specter of nuclear arms as a convenient excuse to pursue the permanent reduction in Iranian power.

I don’t think they’re trying to push for a controlled regime change as much as they’re trying to push for the annihilation of the Iranian political and military apparatus - to include Khameini. If Iran spends the next twenty years in chaos over political infighting, it can’t threaten Israel.

I'm amazed how some people seem to live their lives without a concept of time and space.

"Sure, people might do bad things there in the present, but here people did bad things in the past as well. Therefore living there in the present or living here in the present is the same thing."

Agreed and that was my point in my prior post though the guy I was replying to, going off of his reply seems to just think I'm an Israeli trying to sacrifice him or something.
