What is Jack's deal with Starbucks lately? He's been on this kick that they're in big trouble, like they're on the brink of shutting down. Where the fuck is he getting this idea? Starbucks is and always has been extremely successful. I don't get it. If he doesn't like them because they're woke or something, whatever! But his recent take that they're failing is baffling.

SBUX's price is back to where it was at 6 years ago. Growth has stalled out and their margins have been shrinking which is a big problem when the stock is trading at a 36(!) PE. But this is only a concern for investors. SBUX is a leviathan and is not going away anytime soon.

I don't think Jack has the ability to grasp that things can be multifactorial. He is also too narcissistic to not comment or pontificate on issues he can't comprehend. I think even before the strokes his IQ was never higher than 70. His blog posts from the early 2000s are excellent examples of his lifelong struggles with logic. He once recommended that the US make a huge wall along the Canadian and Mexican border with 1 neat doorway in every state sharing the border with Mexico or Canada. I only go to Wally World for things that are impossible to fuck up. Any food that is canned/frozen, basic underwear, gook-tier electronics (charging cables, computer mice, etc.). If I want to lie to myself and tell myself I'm getting quality I'd go to a Whole Foods or Sprouts for produce/fresh stuff.

That's more or less the only reason I'd shop there. Sometimes there's something on sale that I'd pick up. Like they had these small non-stick pans that we use for eggs that were something like... $6 or something about a year ago? Decent things, got a couple of them and so far they've worked flawlessly.

If you want to realize just how bad Starbucks is, try ordering an Americano black or an espresso. Their beans suck and they overroast them. Worse, they're really unreliable in how often they clean their equipment, so the coffee is often just straight up sour and dead.

This is actually my test for any new coffee place the first time, just an Americano or a black cup of coffee. If they can't beat McDonald's, I can do without them. I'd take McDonald's over Starcucks any day.

The fat chick is "Snacker" who has the power of diabetes and a backpack that she can pull anything out of and she's always the first to run into trouble. I mean waddle because she's got to be 300 pounds at least.

I only drink coffee black and the only coffee I will drink from Starbucks is their nitro cold brew. But yeah McDonald's is fine if you want coffee or hell most gas stations go through enough of it that it's okay if you're really needing a cup.

No, that new warriors bullshit was from 2020(and why it was so laughably stupid even the left thought it was ridiculous). Ironheart is the result of the work prior to that (2015 I think?) trying to ape the success of Miles Morales(2011).

This was actually pitched and seriously considered to be a noteworthy comic book. Ironheart is mild compared to this.

Sure, and hilariously covid is what got it cancelled, not even just the backlash. Distribution got put on hold with the lockdowns a few weeks before it was supposed to ship. I assume that a few hundred copies eventually found their way into a shredder and then recycled into cardboard.
